How I can get involved?

Involved alumni help to enhance the reputation and strengthen the weight of the West Virginia University name. Here are 20 easy ways to become a more involved Mountaineer.

  1. Become a member of the WVU Alumni Association!
  2. Assist in WVU student recruitment.
  3. Serve as a mentor to a fellow graduate.
  4. Attend an alumni chapter event in your area.
  5. Become a member of a constituent group.
  6. Nominate a WVU graduate for the Academy of Distinguished Alumni.
  7. Speak positively about WVU whenever you have the opportunity.
  8. Hire WVU students for internships as well as permanent positions after graduation.
  9. Read the WVU Alumni Magazine.
  10. Help provide scholarships by contributing to the Loyalty Permanent Endowment Fund or other scholarship programs.
  11. Encourage a friend or classmate to join the Alumni Association or participate in alumni programs.
  12. Be sure that WVU has your current mailing and e-mail address.
  13. Wear your official WVU Class Ring.
  14. Participate in one of our periodic alumni surveys.
