Picture of Erickson Alumni Center

Located in the heart of the Evansdale Campus, the Erickson Alumni Center serves as a home away from home for WVU alumni and friends. The building was designed by noted architect Michael Graves and built by G.A. Brown and Son, Inc. of Fairmont, W.Va. The building was completed in 1986.

The Erickson Alumni Center is named for the late Charles O. Erickson, a well-known business and civic leader from Parkersburg, W.Va. Mr. Erickson valued the importance of alumni and provided generous gifts to build alumni centers at every college and university in West Virginia. His son, Charles, continues that family commitment today by supporting WVU Alumni Association events and activities.

The Erickson Alumni Center houses our staff and provides meeting facilities for alumni and friends. Each year, the building plays host to more than 300 alumni, University and community events. The center offers convenient parking with easy access to Interstate 79, a non-smoking atmosphere, exceptional catering services by Culinary Creations - WVU's award-winning catering unit - and a banquet room adjoined by a lighted terrace for special events.
