Pamela Maphis Larrick (‘72 BS)
Clarksburg, W.Va., native, Pamela Maphis Larrick graduated from the Perley Isaac Reed School of Journalism with her bachelor’s degree in 1972.
Pamela Maphis Larrick, chairman and CEO of FCBi Worldwide, provides leadership, strategic vision and passion for creative quality at FCBi Worldwide, the interactive and direct marketing company of Foote Cone & Belding. In her role, Larrick oversees FCBi’s operations spanning 40 offices in 28 countries and including strategic consulting, relationship marketing, database management, on-line services, e-business strategy, customer care, offline and online media planning and execution, and branded content.
Before joining FCBi, Larrick was CEO of McCann Relationship Marketing (MRM) Worldwide, recognized as a worldwide leader in Relationship Marketing. In that position, she was responsible for overseeing 64 offices worldwide, offering strategic consulting, relationship marketing, digital solutions, database management and custom publishing.
The marketing industry has recognized Larrick’s many accomplishments by being named in Ad Age Global’s “Global Power 100,” a list of the most “innovative, daring and dynamic leaders in marketing, advertising and media.” Other awards include the Emerson Lifetime Achievement Award for Innovation in and service to the direct marketing industry by the board of the John Caples Awards organization and the McCann-Erickson General Manager’s Award for outstanding services. In 1997, she was named one of 25 women leaders in the advertising industry by Advertising Age in the first year it bestowed those honors.
Larrick also worked for Ogilvy Direct where she served in a pro bono capacity as special communications consultant to then West Virginia Governor Gaston Caperton. Larrick’s early career was in healthcare advertising, political marketing and public television.
