Kevin Berry, a two-time graduate of West Virginia University (‘94 BSJ, ‘95 MA), has been with the WVU Alumni Association since 2000 where he serves as associate director and chief operating officer for the
Association.
Before joining the Alumni Association, Kevin held numerous positions within the University, including academic advisor in the College of Business and Economics, assistant to then WVU President David C. Hardesty Jr., and director of the Visitor’s Resource Center.
Coming from a long line of WVU graduates, Kevin knew this was the only school for him, noting that his parents told him he could go to any school in the country. He knew WVU was his second home and he’s remained here since 1989.
Besides being a huge Mountaineer fan, Kevin and his wife, Katie Starnes Berry (also a WVU grad), are the proud parents of two future Mountaineers, Andrew and Alison.
In his spare time, Kevin enjoys staying in shape by biking and training for triathlons. He says his goal when participating in a triathlon is simply to finish. His secret is telling as many people as he can that he is competing in a triathlon. This pushes him to finish because he does not want to let them down. He also keeps busy by brewing beer, a hobby he finds challenging and meticulous.
