Ron Justice
Ron Justice serves as the on-campus representative for the Board of Directors. He is a two-time
graduate of WVU, receiving a bachelor’s degree in history in 1985 and a master’s degree in educational administration in 1990.
As Director of Student Organization Services for WVU, Ron is responsible for leadership of WVU’s more than 300 student organizations, including Greek organizations on campus. He has helped to develop student programs, including the SHOP and Toy Mountain. Ron has worked for the University since 1985, serving in various roles, including Greek Advisor and Assistant Dean of Students/ Student Organization Services, before becoming director of student organizations.
In addition to his leadership roles at WVU, Ron has been a public servant for more than 15 years. He served as mayor of Morgantown from 2002-2009, helping to strengthen town and gown relationships with WVU. Previously he served as deputy mayor for seven years and a member of City Council from 1991-2009.
Ron serves on numerous boards and professional organizations, including Board of Directors for PACE, Morgantown Theatre Company, WV Infrastructure Council, and Metropolitan Theatre Foundation, among others. He previously served on the Metropolitan Planning Organization for Monongalia County/City of Morgantown, was a member of the Board of Directors for Greater Morgantown Community Trust, Governor’s Transition Committee on Tourism and State of West Virginia Workforce Investment, among others.
Ron has received numerous honors and awards for his service. In 2005, Ron was recognized for his commitment to the community with the James R. McCartney Community Service Award from the WVU Alumni Association. He was honored with the Richard T. Feller Outstanding Alumni Award for Distinguished Service, West Virginia Municipal League Mayor of the Year, and Northeast Panhellenic Advisor of the Year, among others. He is a member of the Class of 1999-2000 for Leadership Monongalia and Mountain Honorary.
Ron lives in Morgantown with his wife and children.
