Douglas J. Skaff
Doug is a native of Charleston, W.Va. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in marketing and a
master’s degree in industrial labor relations from WVU in 2000 and 2001, respectively.
Doug is a district manager for Owens Corning where he is responsible for the sales, distribution, marketing and management operations for Norandex Reynolds, a division of Owens Corning. In this position, he runs two distribution centers and is responsible for the training, coaching and advising of all employees and works to build relationships with strategic customers. He also serves as a liaison between Owens Corning’s corporate headquarters, branch locations, company manufacturer representatives and managers.
During his time at WVU, Doug was active in numerous campus activities. He served as student body president from 1999 to 2000 where he represented the interests of 24,000 students, created programs and services and acted as a liaison between WVU administration and other community officials, faculty and students. He served on the WVU Board of Governors, WVU Board of Advisors and Mountaineer Honorary. In recognition of his academic achievements and extracurricular activities, he was also chosen as Mr. Mountaineer in 1999.
Doug founded the Mountaineer Maniacs, a student athletic booster club which now has more than 3,500 members. He co-founded WVUp All Night, a weekend program for WVU students including food and entertainment. He also was a member of Delta Tau Delta and Delta Sigma Pi and served on Mountaineer Council.
In 2005, Doug received the Margaret Buchanan Cole Young Alumni service award from the WVU Alumni Association for his continued commitment and service to the Association and his alma mater. He is a member of the Kanawha Valley Chapter of the WVU Alumni Association and currently serves on the WVU Student Affairs Visiting Committee.
