Christine Mullett McCartney
Christie is a native of Huntington, W.Va. She graduated from the WVU Honors Program in
1996 with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdepartmental Studies and a minor in Political Science. She earned an MBA from Rice University in 2004 and, upon graduation, worked as a consultant for Futurestep, a division of Korn Ferry.
Christie and her husband, Billy (’95 BS), have been active in the WVU Lone Star Alumni Chapter in Houston, TX, since 2000. They helped to restart the chapter and served as Activities Chairs and VPs of Membership during their tenure before serving as Co-Presidents from 2006-2009. Christie remains active in the chapter helping with college fairs and community service endeavors.
While at WVU, Christie was active in student government and also served as VP of Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She was a member of the Student Foundation Board of Managers, Mountain Honorary and was a finalist for Miss Mountaineer. Christie worked a year as a Traveling Leadership Consultant for Kappa Kappa Gamma after graduating from WVU.
Christie recently began serving on the Eberly College of Arts and Sciences Visiting Committee. She is a life member of the WVU Alumni Association and a member of the Old Gold Club. Christie is also active in the Houston Kappa Kappa Gamma Alumnae Association and the Houston Symphony League.
Christie and her husband, Billy, live in Houston, TX, and have two daughters, Katie Reese and Kinley, and a son, Kellen.
