Michael A. "Mike" Petruski is senior vice president of Great American Group which partners with businesses across the globe to effectively appraise and divest assets to maximize value.
Before joing Great American Group, Mike was a group executive with the Wachovia Capital Finance Division of Wachovia Bank N.A. in Charlotte, N.C., for nearly 15 years. Prior to joining First Union Bank/Wachovia, he was a vice president with Citicorp for nine years in their leveraged finance division in New York. He also spent 13 years with American Can Company in Greenwich, Conn., in manufacturing, purchasing and director of machinery sales.
Mike graduated from WVU in 1974 with a bachelorĂs degree in biology and received a master's degree from Western Connecticut State University in 1981. While at WVU, he was a member of Kappa Sigma fraternity, Sphinx - the Senior MenĂs Honorary - and the Natatorium Building Committee.
Mike is president of the Charlotte Chapter of the WVU Alumni Association. He and his wife, Joan, are directors of the Kristen Foundation, a non-profit charity for the families with missing and endangered adults over the age of 18. He is an active member of the Commercial Finance Association.
He is a former officer and Statesman with the Connecticut Jaycees and the Elks Lodge #120 of Danbury, Conn.
Mike and Joan reside in Charlotte and have two children, Ryan-Michael and Amanda.
