C. Michael Fulton

Michael Fulton, '79 BS, is past president of the National Capital Area Chapter of the WVU Alumni Association (Metro Washington, D.C.). He serves the Boards of American League of Lobbyists and The Center for Environmentally Advanced Technologies.

A graduate of the School of Journalism, Fulton put his education to practice on Capital Hill in the office of late Rep. Robert H. Mollohan directly upon graduation. A native West Virginian, he would later work for Rep. Alan B. Mollohan completing a total of 10 years of service to his home state in the nationĂ­s capital.

Fulton is currently the executive vice president of the GolinHarris in Washington, D.C. During his 19 years at the firm, he has assisted companies, academic institutions, hospitals and associations in planning and achieving their government-relations goals. He has utilized grassroots campaigns, media relations, survey research, creative events and videos to achieve successful results for his clients.

He previously served on the WVU Perley Isaac Reed School of Journalism Visiting Committee. He is a member of the Mountain Honorary and has worked tirelessly for WVU, spending hundreds of hours helping fellow alumni get jobs in the nation's capital and in recruiting students to WVU. His door is always open to WVU alumni and students needing career advice.

Fulton resides in Kensington, Md., with his wife Teresa, '77 BSJ, and their daughters, Amanda and Elizabeth.
