Heather Heiskell Jones
Heather Heiskell Jones, a native of Morgantown, has been with the firm of Spilman Thomas & Battle PLLC since 1987. She is a member and chair of the firm's Litigation Department. She primarily practices litigation defense, including toxic tort, medical monitoring class actions, product liability, employer liability, deliberate intent and insurance bad faith.
Ms. Jones is a 1984 graduate of WVU where she graduated cum laude with a bachelor's degree in political science. She earned her J.D. in 1987 from the University of Richmond, T.C. Williams School of Law.
She is a member of the West Virginia Defense Trial Counsel, American Bar Association and DRI. She also is a graduate of the West Virginia Chamber of Commerce Leadership West Virginia program.
Ms. Jones is admitted to the West Virginia State Bar, West Virginia Supreme Court of Appeals, United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of West Virginia and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. She is a Permanent Member of the Fourth Circuit Judicial Conference.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Ms. Jones has been active in the community, volunteering her efforts to the United Way of the Greater Kanawha Valley, the Clay Center (formerly the Sunrise Museum) and Legal Aid. She currently resides in Charleston.
